Andriy Franchuk and Maksym Matsveyko — in the Ukrinform article about how children’s content is changing and who is shaping the new era of heroes
Ukrinform uploaded the interview with the participants of the discussion "Heroic Nation – Nation of Heroes," where important thoughts were shared about content for children and the development of Ukrainian animation.
Andriy Franchuk, director of "Koto – Master of the Storm of Emotions":
"We grew up at a time of great upheaval — when one type of content disappeared and another emerged. And now the same is happening: the era of old content is ending and a new one is being born, but now we are adults and can create this content ourselves."
Maksym Matsveiko, producer of "Koto – Master of the Storm of Emotions":
"We need to be of higher quality and more competitive so that people watch us. Today, a child can easily switch channels — so, in addition to meaningful content, we need to immediately establish communication with them. And we need to make sure the content is interesting for children and at the same time safe, so parents can confidently let them watch it."
In its article, Ukrinform emphasizes: it is now that a new generation of heroes is being formed — and the responsibility for their image largely rests with the creators of Ukrainian cinema and animation.
